Policies and Regulations 2008-2009

Welcome to Club Kicks Dance and Cheer.  We are so excited to have your child cheer, dance, tumble with us.  We have so many things to teach and can hardly wait to get started.  Our passion is for you to learn the skills necessary to be the best you can be.  We take pride in playing uplifting music and teaching wholesome moves that can grab attention.  Our nurturing environment is a place all students are encouraged to bring out the best in themselves.

Classes offered: Ballet, Cheerleading, Conditioning, Creative Dance, Exhibition Dance and Cheer Teams, Hip Hop, Jazz, Mommy & Me, Pointe, Stunting, Tap, Tumbling,, Ballet/Tap/Jazz

Studio/Gym Schedule
Fall classes run: September 2, 2008 – May 30, 2009
No classes: October 27-November 1, November 27-29, December 22-January 3, March 23-28

Tuition Monthly rates
45 minute class = $43         Mommy and Me = $30        Multiple class discounts available
Payments are made at the beginning of each month.  If you pay within the first 7 days you will receive a $5 early payment discount.  

Return check fee - $20.  You are responsible for paying monthly.  I will email statements 2 weeks before they are due. There will be no bills mailed.

Registration
There is a $20 registration fee for a single child.  $35 for a family.  When you register you must pay the registration fee plus the first month’s tuition.

 Make up classes
You are welcome to make up any missed classes by attending a like class.  If there isn’t one please talk to the office manager or your instructor about other options.

 Recital for Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Exhibition Teams
We will have an end of the year recital in May 2009.  A costume deposit of $50 will be billed on November statement.  If the costume is more than that the 2nd part will be billed in December.  If you wish to NOT participate tell the office manager.  You are welcome to participate in classes even if you choose not to perform.

Jewel exhibition dance and cheer teams
You will need to purchase your team uniform by October 15th.  You have 4 performance opportunities a year.  Exact dates and locations will be announced later.

Pictures
We will have a couple days set aside in the spring to have a photographer take class and individual pictures.  This will take place at the Club Kicks studio when everyone has received their costume.  Watch for more information.

Classroom Dress Code
Ballet/Tap/Jazz-Leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, tan tap shoes.  Skirts are optional, hair must be pulled securely out of face.  Jazz shoes are not needed.
Ballet-solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, skirts are optional, hair must be pulled securely out of face.  Intermediate and Advanced/Pointe Ballet must wear their hair in a bun.
Jazz-solid color leotard, tights or jazz Capri, black jazz shoes.  No baggy clothes and hair must be securely pulled back.
Hip Hop-Long shorts or pants and sneakers are recommended.  Have a designated pair of sneakers.  Knee pads for advanced level.
Tap-solid color leotard, tights or jazz Capri and tan tap shoes.  Hair must be securely pulled back.
Tumbling-Shorts/skort, tight shirt or leotard.  Hair must be securely pulled back.
Cheer-Shorts/skort, tight shirt and cheer tennis shoes.  Hair must be securely pulled back.
Jewel Exhibition Dance/Cheer Teams-Shorts/skort, tight shirt or leotard and cheer tennis shoes.  Hair must be securely pulled back.

Class Etiquette
No running or playing this is our training room.  No food or drink, only water.  Be on time and if you are late please apologize and ask permission to join the class.  No gum chewing and no cell phones turned on.  No gossiping or putting other dancers/cheerleaders down at this studio or other studios.

Waiting Area Etiquette
All siblings must be supervised by an adult.  There is no running, tumbling, horseplay or inappropriate language allowed.  No playing in the dressing rooms or with the water fountain.  Please clean up after yourself.  Students must wait in the lobby and not outside to be picked up.

There are viewing windows to watch your student.  The instructor has the right to block the window anytime.  No chairs in front of the doors.  No children standing on chairs.

Club Kicks staff is not responsible for students in the waiting area.

Parking
There is limited parking so be courteous to other drivers.  Most parents drop off and pick up their child after class.  Do not park next to the building, this is illegal!  

Studio/Gym Closing
It will be our policy to be closed if LPS is closed.  I will try to post closings on www.clubkicks.com, on the phone message and send out a mass email.  Always make a good decision for your family.  Safety always comes first.

Registration Procedure
Once you’ve picked out your classes you will need to fill out a registration form and include registration fee and first months tuition.
